About us

Our Heritage

We are an organization that combines years of heritage in Natural stone with an equally strong experience in the various processes and principles associated with introducing, promoting and distributing products and services related to consumer goods.

We have served the natural stone industry (architecture and memorials related) over the last 35 years, starting out with a direct affiliation with one of the largest granite processing factories in the world – Enterprising Enterprises of India. In addition to representing the North American operations for them, we also get materials from a number of sources around the world . Keeping a low profile while pioneering a series of innovations over the years has been our hallmark.  We have consistently produced and shipped slabs, tiles and finished monuments to various markets around the world. We have an established network of distributors and partnerships throughout North America and the rest of the world.  Some salient facts about our extended operations:

Shipped over 2000 containers worth of granite over the last 15+ years to the US and Canada alone
Access to over 100 quarries – several of them owned by us and several others are on long term leases.
Plant infrastructure in India spread over 100 acres
Family owned business operation, employing well over 800 employees in two campuses.
Highly skilled craftsmen that have worked on some of the most intricate stone projects
Simple and complex monuments in various colors, shapes and sizes.
Color range from the standard ones – Premium Black, India Mist, Royal Red, Paradiso, Indian Dakota, Dynamic Blue etc to several unique colors that are available exclusively from our quarries.
The first Indian granite monument manufacturer to join the Monument Builders of North America in 1981. We are also members of various regional associations.
Participation in various civic memorial projects including the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington DC and the Challenger Memorial in Florida.
Regular awards from various organizations, the Government of India and other institutions
Investments in the North American operations that supports local communities in the USA while providing the advantages of global sourcing to our customers

We are proud of our long and rich history, but we understand that it is the continuous attention to relationship building, customer service, product quality and detail that enables us to be successful. As trends take shape that impact businesses (increase in imports, the need for balancing out product portfolios with a mixture of American, Indian & other materials, and the potential need to introduce newer designs, finishes etc to differentiate or enter into new product lines), there is an ever-greater need to have strategic relationships with partners that have the capability, experience across granite product lines and proven sustainability to work with you to meet your needs. We constantly look to building such long-term relationships. We will serve your needs well – now and in the longer term. Call us and get to know for yourself.

Recent Media Coverage

Over the years we have introduced several colors and processing techniques in the industry. These accomplishments have been noted in several publications

Story on stones from India, Stone World, August 2004 issue talks about the fact that we introduced Black Galaxy to the market in the early 80s.  “……….. Black Galaxy granite — which was quarried and processed in India by Enterprising Enterprises — to the U.S. marketplace. The stone eventually became trademarked, and it became one of the most popular granites in the U.S”.
